Young Voices for the Planet presents the short film, “Words Have Power.” It is one of many short documentaries produced by the non-profit organization, which was founded by Lynne Cherry, that is dedicated to “limiting the magnitude of climate change and its impacts by empowering children and youth, through uplifting and inspiring success stories.”
“Words Have Power” features the activism of Jaysa Mellers, a young adolescent girl from Bridgeport, Conn., who rallied her community to challenge dangerous, local air polluters by speaking out.
