The Zinn Education Project (coordinated by Rethinking Schools and Teaching for Change) supports and defends the right to teach truthfully.
In 2023, with your help, we can:
-
Organize public protests of the right-wing anti-history (anti-critical race theory) education bills
-
Develop lessons and offer workshops on environmental racism, McCarthyism, Reconstruction, voting rights, and more
-
Engage thousands of teachers in online classes with Black Freedom Struggle historians
-
Recruit thousands of teachers to our people’s history network, now 151,000 strong
-
Form and support 100 more Teaching for Black Lives study groups, with the goal of hosting groups in all 50 states
-
Disseminate our national report analyzing K–12 curriculum standards on Reconstruction, part of our Teach Reconstruction campaign
-
Promote people’s history teacher leadership through the Prentiss Charney Fellowship
Please help expand our reach in 2023.
