Thank you to all of our donors!

Together we can help bring a people’s history to the classroom.

Organizations

In the spring of 2012, the Zinn Education Project received $67,186 from the 2011 CREDO/Working Assets donations ballot.

In September of 2011, Busboys and Poets in Hyattsville, Md., co-hosted a fundraiser for the Zinn Education Project to celebrate International Peace Day and to dedicate the Zinn Room. The 300-plus attendees were inspired by the words of Jeff Zinn, Bernice Johnson Reagon, Cornel West, Dave Zirin, Beverly Daniel Tatum, Marian Wright Edelman, Barbara Ehrenreich, Medea Benjamin, Craig and Cindy Corrie, and more. The Open Society Foundations provided funding for the The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers teaching guide. The funding was provided to the film producers who contracted with the Zinn Education Project to produce the guide in time for the PBS/POV broadcast in October, 2010.

Members of the Mindfulness in Education White Paper Group made a donation in memory of Howard Zinn in April, 2010; the People’s Celebration of Howard Zinn raised funds for the Zinn Education Project at their event in May, 2010; and Veterans for Peace Chapter 9 Smedley Butler Brigade members made a donation in July, 2010.

about_caipirinhafoundation_logo

The Caipirinha Foundation contributed to the development and promotion of the Zinn Education Project website in 2009. The Zinn Education Project is featured on their Cultures of Resistance website.

The following publishers and organizations have donated books and DVDs: Seven Stories Press, The People Speak, ODT Maps, the Media Education Foundation, and HarperCollins. Seven Stories Press also gave us permission to post, for free download, all the chapters from the teaching guide for Voices of a People’s History.
